HairWhatIf Terms of Service

Version: 1.0 Last Updated: July 31, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of HairWhatIf's website, Studio, account features, hairstyle-preview tools, result pages, credit features, and related services ("HairWhatIf," the "Service," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using HairWhatIf, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use HairWhatIf.

1. What HairWhatIf Provides

HairWhatIf is an AI-assisted virtual hairstyle preview service. It helps adults preview hairstyle ideas on a submitted photograph or compare hairstyle references before making a personal styling decision.

HairWhatIf outputs are informational previews only. They are not:

  • professional hairdressing, medical, cosmetic, legal, financial, or identity advice;
  • a guarantee that a stylist can reproduce the preview;
  • a guarantee that your real haircut, color, texture, or treatment will match the preview;
  • a replacement for consulting a qualified stylist; or
  • proof of identity, age, consent, ownership, or authorization.

2. Eligibility

You may use HairWhatIf only if you are at least 18 years old and can form a binding agreement under applicable law.

You must not use HairWhatIf if:

  • you are under 18;
  • you are barred from using the Service under applicable law;
  • your account was suspended or terminated for safety, fraud, abuse, payment, or rights violations; or
  • you are using the Service on behalf of another person without authority.

3. Accounts and Security

Some features require an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that occurs through your account.

You agree to:

  • provide accurate account information;
  • keep your email address and account details current;
  • promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access;
  • use only your own account unless you are authorized to act for another user; and
  • comply with reauthentication or verification requirements for sensitive actions.

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access if we reasonably believe an account is compromised, abusive, fraudulent, unlawful, or used in violation of these Terms.

4. Image Rights and Consent

You may upload, prepare, or submit only images that you own or are authorized to use for AI hairstyle processing.

By submitting an image, you represent and warrant that:

  • every depicted person is an adult;
  • you own the image or have valid permission to use it with HairWhatIf;
  • you have provided any legally required notice to the depicted person;
  • you have obtained any consent required for AI hairstyle processing;
  • the image was not obtained by scraping, unauthorized copying, stalking, harassment, or deception;
  • the image does not violate another person's privacy, publicity, copyright, or other rights; and
  • your use complies with the Acceptable Use Policy.

You are responsible for the images, references, settings, feedback, and other material you submit.

5. License You Give HairWhatIf

You retain ownership of images and content you submit, subject to any rights held by others.

You grant HairWhatIf a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to process, store, transform, transmit, display, and delete your submitted content solely as needed to:

  • provide the requested hairstyle-preview service;
  • validate file safety and technical quality;
  • create masks, reference cards, intermediate assets, candidates, and final results;
  • run safety, policy, identity-preservation, edit-locality, and quality checks;
  • show results to you;
  • provide support when you authorize access or when needed for fraud, abuse, security, or legal reasons;
  • operate retention, deletion, account, billing, and dispute workflows; and
  • comply with law and enforce these Terms.

HairWhatIf does not receive ownership of your submitted images.

6. AI Outputs and Result Rights

HairWhatIf may generate hairstyle-preview candidates and final delivered results using AI systems and service providers.

Subject to these Terms, payment obligations, third-party rights, and applicable law, you may use a delivered result for personal, non-deceptive hairstyle decision-making.

You must not use a HairWhatIf result:

  • to impersonate another person;
  • to claim a real event, haircut, identity, endorsement, or professional outcome that did not occur;
  • to harass, shame, defame, deceive, or exploit a person;
  • to bypass a provider, platform, employment, immigration, school, financial, or identity-verification process;
  • to create unlawful, explicit, abusive, discriminatory, or rights-infringing content; or
  • in a way that violates the Acceptable Use Policy.

AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, stylized, distorted, or technically flawed. HairWhatIf may refuse delivery or remove access to outputs that fail safety, quality, rights, payment, or policy requirements.

7. Credits, Purchases, and Billing

HairWhatIf may offer credits or other paid features. A server-published catalog controls current offer details, including price, currency, credit amount, purchase type, tax wording, and validity period.

Unless a checkout or product page states otherwise:

  • one credit settles one checked delivered result;
  • failed, blocked, cancelled, or undelivered jobs do not settle a credit;
  • a credit reservation is not the same as final settlement;
  • releasing a reserved credit is not a card refund;
  • card refunds, chargebacks, taxes, invoices, and disputes are handled through the payment and billing process; and
  • payment-provider terms may apply.

Waffo Pancake may process purchases. Waffo Pancake's checkout terms, privacy notice, tax handling, refund handling, fraud controls, and payment-method requirements may apply to payment activities.

8. Refunds and Credit Adjustments

Refunds, chargebacks, failed payments, and credit adjustments are governed by the Refund Policy, the checkout terms shown at purchase, Waffo Pancake's applicable terms, and mandatory consumer-protection law.

We may correct account balances, reverse incorrect credits, suspend unpaid access, or reconcile duplicate, fraudulent, disputed, or mistaken payment events.

9. Availability and Changes

HairWhatIf may change, pause, limit, or discontinue features, providers, models, templates, credit offers, retention settings, routes, or policies at any time.

We may do this for reasons including:

  • safety, abuse, fraud, or rights concerns;
  • legal, payment, provider, infrastructure, or security requirements;
  • model or provider quality changes;
  • product maintenance or migration;
  • lack of provider availability;
  • account deletion, retention, or lifecycle requirements; or
  • business or operational needs.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that a particular provider, template, result, route, or feature will remain available.

10. Prohibited Use

You must not use HairWhatIf in any way that violates these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, or applicable law.

Prohibited conduct includes:

  • uploading minors or age-ambiguous people;
  • uploading images without permission;
  • impersonation, deception, harassment, exploitation, or abuse;
  • public-figure or celebrity identity replication;
  • face swapping or identity replacement;
  • attempting to bypass policy rejection, safety checks, account controls, payment controls, or provider restrictions;
  • probing, scraping, overloading, reverse engineering, or attacking the Service;
  • using automation that is not authorized by HairWhatIf;
  • selling, sublicensing, or reselling access without permission;
  • submitting malware, illegal content, or harmful instructions;
  • interfering with another user's account or data; and
  • using HairWhatIf for unlawful discrimination, surveillance, identification, or profiling.

11. Enforcement

We may take enforcement action when we believe these Terms or applicable policies have been violated.

Enforcement actions may include:

  • rejecting or deleting submitted content;
  • refusing to generate or deliver a result;
  • releasing or reversing a credit reservation;
  • limiting, suspending, or terminating an account;
  • disabling downloads, result access, or history;
  • preserving information needed to investigate abuse, fraud, disputes, or legal claims;
  • notifying a payment provider, platform, or authority where appropriate; and
  • taking any other action reasonably necessary to protect users, HairWhatIf, or third parties.

12. Account Deletion and Data Controls

You may request deletion of your account where available. Account deletion may lock product access, cancel or stop new jobs, remove private image objects, erase or deidentify account-domain data where permitted, and delete the authentication account.

Some information may be retained where required or permitted for:

  • payment, refund, chargeback, tax, or accounting records;
  • fraud, abuse, security, and legal investigations;
  • deletion receipts;
  • dispute handling;
  • compliance records; or
  • legal claims.

For more information, see the Privacy Policy.

13. Third-Party Services

HairWhatIf may depend on third-party services for hosting, authentication, storage, AI image processing, workflow coordination, monitoring, billing, tax, and payment processing.

Third-party services may have their own terms and policies. HairWhatIf is not responsible for third-party websites, services, outages, policies, payment controls, or independent processing decisions.

14. Intellectual Property

HairWhatIf, including its website, software, product design, branding, templates, workflows, prompts, policies, documentation, and non-user content, is owned by HairWhatIf or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from HairWhatIf except as allowed by law or expressly permitted in writing.

15. Feedback

If you submit ideas, comments, ratings, suggestions, or feedback, you grant HairWhatIf permission to use them without restriction or compensation, unless we separately agree otherwise.

Do not include confidential information in feedback unless we specifically ask for it through an approved support process.

16. Disclaimers

HairWhatIf is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the maximum extent allowed by law.

We do not warrant that:

  • results will be accurate, realistic, complete, uninterrupted, available, or error-free;
  • a generated hairstyle can be reproduced by a stylist;
  • a result will preserve every facial, clothing, background, lighting, or identity detail;
  • every unsafe, infringing, or low-quality result will be detected;
  • every provider, route, catalog item, or credit feature will remain available; or
  • the Service will meet your expectations.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of these terms may not apply to you.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, HairWhatIf will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or lost-profit damages, or for loss of data, reputation, goodwill, business, opportunity, or expected savings.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, HairWhatIf's total liability for claims arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of:

  • the amount you paid to HairWhatIf for the transaction giving rise to the claim; or
  • USD 100.

This limitation does not exclude liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

18. Indemnity

To the extent allowed by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless HairWhatIf and its operators, affiliates, service providers, officers, employees, and agents from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from:

  • your submitted content;
  • your use or misuse of HairWhatIf;
  • your violation of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy;
  • your violation of another person's rights;
  • your payment dispute, chargeback, or fraudulent transaction; or
  • your violation of law.

19. Governing Law and Disputes

The governing law, venue, arbitration, class-action waiver, consumer-rights exceptions, and regional dispute terms may be shown in checkout, account, or region-specific notices where required.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights you cannot waive under the laws of your place of residence.

20. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will show its last updated date.

If a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will provide additional notice where required. Your continued use of HairWhatIf after an update means you accept the updated Terms, except where law requires a different process.

21. Contact

Questions about these Terms may be sent through HairWhatIf support or the contact method listed in the Privacy Policy.
